This Privacy Policy describes how the website www.angolodelcalzone.it manages the personal data of users who visit it, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Types of Data Collected

Our website is primarily informational and does not require registration. We do not intentionally collect personal data from visitors. However:

  • We only use essential technical cookies necessary for the correct functioning of the website
  • The website makes no requests to third-party services when pages load: fonts are hosted on our own servers, and the Google Maps map is only loaded if you explicitly ask for it with a click (see «Third-party cookies»)
  • Our servers automatically record, in log files, the IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested and the browser type. This data is processed for the security and correct operation of the website on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is kept for a maximum of 30 days
  • The website contains links and buttons that, if clicked by the user, open the WhatsApp application with a pre-filled message. If the user then sends the message, their WhatsApp phone number and the content of the communication are transmitted directly to our WhatsApp account. In that case, the Data Controller receives and processes the user's data as described in the "Processing of data received via WhatsApp" section below
  • The buffet page allows you to copy your order details to your device's clipboard; this data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our website
  • We do not use tracking systems for marketing or profiling purposes

Purpose of Data Processing

This website uses no statistics, analytics or profiling tools: neither Google Analytics nor any equivalent is installed. The data contained in server logs is used solely to ensure the security and correct operation of the website. No data is used for commercial profiling.

Data Transfers

We do not transfer your data to third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. Please note that WhatsApp (owned by Meta Platforms Inc.) is an independent and separate data controller; the way WhatsApp processes your data is governed by its own Privacy Policy.

Processing of data received via WhatsApp

When a user initiates a conversation with us via the WhatsApp links on this website, we receive:

  • The user's WhatsApp phone number
  • The content of the messages sent (including any order details pre-filled by the buffet page)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject, or for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party.

Retention: messages received via WhatsApp are retained for the time strictly necessary to manage the request or order, and in any case for no longer than 12 (twelve) months from the date of receipt, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.

Sharing: data received via WhatsApp is not shared with any third parties for our own purposes. WhatsApp / Meta Platforms Inc. acts as an independent data controller for its own purposes.

Right to erasure: to request the deletion of your data received via WhatsApp, please contact us at: langolodelcalzone@gmail.com.

Your Rights under GDPR

As a data subject under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you have the right to:

Cookies are small text files that websites send to users' devices, where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same websites on subsequent visits.

Essential technical cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They do not store any personally identifiable information.

Local storage of your cart

When you build an order from the menu or a buffet, the website saves your selection in your browser's local storage (localStorage), under the keys menu-cart and buffet-cart. It serves one purpose only: if you reload the page, go back, or return to the site later, you do not have to start over.

What is stored is the code of the products you picked with their quantity and, if you filled them in, the optional fields of the summary (number of people, date and time, pickup or delivery with address, notes). This data stays on your device: the website is static and has no application server that could receive it. None of it is transmitted to us or to third parties unless you choose to send the WhatsApp message yourself.

This is technical storage strictly necessary to provide a feature you requested, and therefore does not require your consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, implementing the ePrivacy Directive). You can delete it at any time with the “Empty cart” button in the order bar, or by clearing the site data in your browser settings. It has no automatic expiry: it stays until you remove it.

Third-party cookies

Our website includes features provided by third parties, in particular:

  • Google Maps (on request only): the map showing our location is not loaded automatically. In its place you will find a placeholder with a button: until you press it, no data is sent to Google. If you choose to load it, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies on your device; this consent applies to the current browsing session and expires when you close your browser. Alternatively you can open the map directly on Google Maps, or reach us using the address shown on this page. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Typefaces: the fonts used by this website are hosted on our own servers and are not requested from Google Fonts or any other external provider. No data is therefore sent to third parties in order to display text.
  • No external libraries: the website does not load libraries, frameworks or assets from third-party CDNs. Everything needed to render the pages is hosted on our own servers.
  • WhatsApp: The website contains links and buttons that, when clicked, open the WhatsApp application (owned by Meta Platforms Inc.) with a pre-filled message. Visiting the website does not install any WhatsApp cookies on your device. Clicking these links does not constitute consent under the GDPR; sending a message is an entirely voluntary act by the user.
